A member of the Los Angeles freelance community for over 25 years, Brett continues to participate in a wide variety of commercial and live music engagements in the Los Angeles area. He is on the board of the Southern California Viola Society, where he helps organize their flagship event ViolaFest, now in its 11th year. This annual one day intensive hosts over 150 young violists from the Southern California area.

Brett also contributes his talents to recording for film, television, records, and video games. He has played on notable albums by Madonna, Barbra Streisand, and a recent release by Logic. He has also played on Jane Antonia Cornish's "Duende" album. He currently plays on the CBS television show Zoo, among many others. Brett performs regular with the Long Beach and Pasadena Symphonies, along with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra.
